She has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Sacramento State, and more than 30 years of editing, writing and design experience.

Experience:
Wendy's worked for daily community newspapers as a columnist, editor, writer and page designer. She's been the front-page editor of The Davis Enterprise, The (Stockton) Record and (Marysville) Appeal-Democrat. She served on an editorial board, meeting with local and state leaders and representing the newspaper at community events. Recent work experience includes press, website and social media communications for the Davis Farmers Market, city of Davis, local nonprofits, UC Davis and local businesses.
